How to find your Centova Cast/MediaCP metadata URL

Our new player supports the use of a dedicated metadata URL for Centova Cast or MediaCP services – this guide will show you how to work this out for your service.

For Centova Cast services, your metadata URL will be in this format:

https://SERVER.shoutca.st:2199/rpc/STATION-NAME/streaminfo.get

Simply replace ‘SERVER‘ with the name of the server you are hosted on, and ‘STATION-NAME‘ with your Centova Cast username. For example, if your Centova Cast service is hosted on our Cosmo server, and it’s username is ‘radiostream’, the metadata URL would be:

https://cosmo.shoutca.st:2199/rpc/radiostream/streaminfo.get

For MediaCP services, your metadata URL will be in this format:

https://SERVER.shoutca.st:2020/json/stream/STATION-NAME

Simply replace ‘SERVER‘ with the name of the server you are hosted on, and ‘STATION-NAME‘ with your MediaCP publish name. For example, if your MediaCP service is hosted on our Visual server, and it’s publish name is ‘radiostream’, the metadata URL would be:

https://visual.shoutca.st:2020/json/stream/radiostream

If your service is hosted on our Carina or Altair servers, the metadata URL will be:

https://carina.streamerr.co:2020/json/stream/STATION-NAME

https://altair.streamerr.co:2020/json/stream/STATION-NAME
