How to change the stream bitrate (AzuraCast)

Changing the bitrate of your AzuraCast stream is a very straightforward process – this guide will show you how. Please note this only applies when the AutoDJ is enabled on your station. If the AutoDJ is disabled, your stream bitrate will be determined by your encoder or broadcast software.

First, head to the ‘Mount Points’ page, found under the ‘Broadcasting’ heading on the left hand side navigation menu.

Click ‘Edit’ next to the mount point you’d like to change the bitrate of.

In the dialog box that pops up, click on the ‘AutoDJ’ tab, and then select your desired bitrate from the available options.

Click ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the dialog box.

Make sure that you click ‘Reload to apply changes’ on the left hand side navigation menu once you have made this change.

That’s it – you’re done! Your stream will be restarted and your AutoDJ will be broadcasting at the bitrate you have selected.
