How to change the stream bitrate (CentovaCast)

Changing the bitrate of your CentovaCast stream is a very straightforward process – this guide will show you how. Please note this only applies when the AutoDJ is enabled on your station. If the AutoDJ is disabled, your stream bitrate will be determined by your encoder or broadcast software.

First, head to the Settings page in CentovaCast, found on the left hand side navigation menu.

Next, click on the ‘Mount Points’ tab.

Click on the mount point you’d like to change the bitrate of, then click ‘AutoDJ Settings’.

Move the ‘Bit rate’ slider to your desired bitrate.

Once you’ve set the bitrate, click ‘Update’ at the bottom of the page.

Click ‘Return’.

Make sure you restart your server after making this change, using ‘Restart’ under the Server heading on the left hand side navigation menu.

That’s it – you’re done! Your stream will be restarted and your AutoDJ will be broadcasting at the bitrate you have selected.
